HETEL Schools Directors visit VET Schools in Germany
From May 4 to 9th, twenty five principals of HETEL VET schools, took part in a Study Visit to German vocational education and training schools. This visit was part of a European Leonardo da Vinci VETpro project (Professionals of Vocational Education and Training). The project, called The Competences in Educational Planning, was coordinated and promoted by HETEL. Its main objectives were to give the participants the possibility to learn about the Competence Based Learning of German vocational schools, to involve an increasing number of principals of HETEL Schools in international projects and to foster collaboration with other European Vocational schools.
During the one-week visit, HETEL visited six vocational education and training schools and one dual university in three different Länder: four schools in the Land Hessen, two in Rheinland-Pfalz and one in Baden Württenberg.
The participants had the opportunity to visit the schools, attend several presentations about the German educational system, about each schools’ features as well as to exchange ideas with German headmasters and teachers.
